Expat Mentors
Some professional questions are best answered by someone who already works in your field in Germany.
Expat Mentors is a new service currently in development. It will connect internationals with experienced industry and HR professionals who can share practical insights from their own work and careers in Germany.
The service is designed for internationals who do not yet have an established professional network in Germany and want to understand how their industry works, what employers commonly expect, and how international experience may be viewed.

I believe it is better to explain the limits of my services before you book.
My services do not include:
- an individual legal assessment of your eligibility for a particular residence title
- confirmation that an application will be approved
- legal review of application documents, official decisions or refusals
- filing applications or communicating with authorities on your behalf
- representation before an embassy, immigration authority or court
- guaranteed visa approvals, job offers or processing times
- job placement or writing applications for you
- tax advice
My role is to provide general immigration information, practical orientation, process planning and career guidance.
When your question requires an individual legal assessment or representation, I recommend consulting a licensed German immigration lawyer. For tax matters, please consult a qualified tax adviser.

I’m Not Sure Which Service I Need. Where Should I Start?
Send me a short message about your situation and what you would like help with. I will let you know which service appears most relevant or whether another specialist would be more suitable.
Do You Offer a Free First Call?
No. I previously offered free introductory calls, but people often booked them and did not attend.
Preparation is an important part of the value of my consultations, and I cannot prepare properly for free. You can always contact me before booking if you are unsure whether a service is suitable.
Are you a lawyer?
No. I provide general immigration information, practical orientation, process planning and career guidance.
I do not provide individual legal assessments or represent clients before German authorities. When legal advice is required, I recommend consulting a licensed German immigration lawyer.
Can my partner join the call?
Yes. Your partner can join at no additional cost when you are discussing shared plans for moving to Germany.
Is the Listed Price Final?
Yes. The price shown on Topmate is the final price, and VAT is included.
When paying in another currency, the final amount may vary slightly depending on the exchange rate used by the payment provider. Your bank or card company may also charge its own fee.
What Happens If I Need to Reschedule?
You can reschedule free of charge up to eight hours before the consultation.
Late arrival does not extend the scheduled end time. If you do not join within the first 20 minutes, the consultation ends and is considered canceled without a refund.
