They do not tell you whether:

  • a company currently has an open position

  • the role is available in English

  • your profile matches the vacancy

  • the employer supports immigration

  • the salary meets residence requirements

  • the company is expanding or restructuring

A large cluster can also mean:

  • strong competition

  • highly specialized requirements

  • dependence on one industry

  • high housing costs

  • limited English-speaking positions

Use current vacancies and employer information to test whether the cluster is relevant to you.

German language requirements vary by cluster

International companies and research institutions may offer English-speaking positions.

However, German can be especially important in:

  • manufacturing

  • production

  • maintenance

  • quality management

  • technical sales

  • logistics operations

  • small and medium-sized companies

A region with many employers is not necessarily accessible to an English-only applicant.
